Q & A With Rue Morgue Magazine’s Rod Gudino
by Chris on Jan.20, 2011, under Interviews
Six years ago I came across a magazine that had me so addicted I just couldn’t put it down. I had to buy every issue I came across! The magazine is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was founded by its original Editor-In-Chief Rod Gudino in 1997 who handed the position off to Jovanka Vuckovic in December 2005. The magazine’s current editor-in-chief, as of the December 2009 issue, is Dave Alexander. Rue Morgue covers horror in all media: films, books, websites, comic books, music, etc.
Each issue includes feature stories, opinion columns, and numerous reviews. It has quickly become a leading horror magazine on the market as well as having a very healthy online presence, including weekly broadcasts of Rue Morgue Radio. Luckily, the founded and publisher of my favorite magazine had time for some of my questions. Rodrigo is a man with many talents. As you can see below…. (continue reading…)

They offer pin-up style photos as well and numerous items of merchandise such as photos, posters, tee shirts and even panties. I asked founder Alfred Bitchcock to describe his site:
“Cykgirls.com is a unique pinup site blending traditional Pinups with sci-fi, horror, and comics. We strive to be a site that is for genre fans and not just about tattooed girls.
Taking pop culture and melting it with beautiful ladies brings a new and genre into the pinup world.”

Twilight Speaks to Youthful Imaginations
by Chris on Oct.15, 2010, under Features, News
Twilight.
Now that I have your attention, I’d like to share with you my thoughts on the series that has swept across the nation practically overnight, blowing the minds of adolescent girls and boys everywhere! Keep in mind this is an opinion-based column and straight out of my extended imagination.
I am inspired to write this column while in the wonderful and mysterious city of New Orleans at Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop: home of awful customer service, but incredible Voodoo Slushes!
As far as I am concerned, there is no other city that can portray and capture the unique beauty and magic of the occult quite the way that New Orleans does. If you are fascinated by dark history, vampire folklore, and restless spirits, then New Orleans will feed your soul and leave you thirsty for more history lessons. (continue reading…)
